Shoot Music x FIFA World Cup 2026 Promo

Paul Oakenfold filming at the Dallas Stadium ahead of England v Croatia

During the FIFA World Cup 2026, Shoot secured promotional opportunities for our artists across the USA, UK and Europe.

Shoot arranged for iconic DJ Paul Oakenfold to attend the England vs. Croatia match in Dallas. Shoot CEO Tom Roberts attended alongside the “Godfather of electronic music” as FIFA shot an exclusive film capturing both his matchday experience and his evening DJ performance at Ductwork at SILO Dallas. This footage formed part of an official FIFA film documenting his 19-date North American tour, which was distributed via FIFA MAX to over 250 global sports broadcasters.

We also organised artists to send in messages of support for Thomas Tuchel’s squad to be shown on England’s Lions’ Den series, with Tony Perry, Richard Archer (Hard-Fi), Josh Baker, Paul Oakenfold and Aitch all backing the team.

As the Three Lions progressed through the tournament, ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis became the anthem that united the players and the supporters in North America and at home. Following the conclusion of the competition, Shoot facilitated the sync license for the wrap video which was released by England across their social media (plus Oasis collab post) and on YouTube.

The Tartan Army Takeover

Shoot facilitated the sync agreement for Scotland’s first squad announcement for a World Cup finals in 28 years as Barry Can’t Swim’s ‘Deadbeat Gospel’ soundtracked the video using Ewan McGregor. The Scottish DJ also attended Brazil match in Miami.

The Tartan Army had a strong presence in Boston throughout the opening few weeks of the group stage, with Skerryvore among the bands who travelled out for the tournament. Members of the celtic rock collective were interviewed by PA Media about their performances in the city including at the now iconic Dubliner pub – which was distributed to and published news outlets back in Scotland including The Herald, Glasgow Times and the Scotsman among others.

Singer-songwriter PG Ciarletta also travelled Stateside with Shoot arranging performances at Scotland House – the Scottish FA’s home away from home for the Tartan Army in Boston.

Broadcast PR: Radio & TV

We supplied artists for interviews across multiple radio stations throughout the tournament. Aitch, Knolldoll, Joseph J. Jones & Bruce Breakey (Good Health, Good Wealth), PG Ciarletta and Dizzee Rascal all appeared as guests on talkSPORT’s World Cup Breakfast programme, with Maddox Jones performing at the station’s launch event.

Musicians also landed on Sky Sports’ World Cup Breakfast show, including PG Ciarletta, Tony Perry and Stuart Murdoch (Belle & Sebastian).

On BBC Radio 5 Live, Brodie Barclay, Andrew Cushin and Stuart Murdoch appeared as guests and performed across Patrick Kielty & Colin Murray’s shows.

North of the border, Belle & Sebastian’s Stuart and Chris Geddes and Gallus members Barry Dolan and Eamon appeared as guests on BBC Radio Scotland’s Off The Ball.

Digital & Print Features

Ahead of the tournament, Alan Scobie (Skerryvore), Jonny Stewart (The Wellermen), PG Ciarletta, Jordan Mackay (The Snuts) and Will Irvine (DAYTIME TV) provided quotes to PITCH Magazine for a  Scottish national team feature in their World Cup Special.

Q&As with OneFootball also took place over the World Cup, with Shoot providing artists from England, Scotland, Croatia, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa for features with the world’s leading football media platform.

Sync Placements & Soundtracks

We secured a large number of sync spots across BBC and ITV’s coverage of the tournament. Tracks from Duran Duran, Noah Kahan, Ava Joe, Charlie Jeer, Jungle, Charlie Jeer, Oliver Smith, Above & Beyond, Sam Fender x Olivia Dean, Andrew Cushin and Brooke Combe all featured as soundbeds, while multiple sync spots were also secured for tracks from MK, Fatboy Slim, Muse, DAYTIME TV and Paul Oakenfold.

Reverend and the Makers was used on England matches and PG Ciarletta, Gallus, Nathan Evans, Barry Can’t Swim and Brodie Barclay were used on Scotland coverage.

Internationally, the Cirkut and Andrew Watt Remix of ‘In The Stars’ by The Rolling Stones was used as a regular soundbed by Netherlands’ Public Broadcasting on their World Cup programmes.

Stadium & Fanzone Plays

We continued to plug music to sports DJs throughout the World Cup, with tracks from our artists played at 4TheFans events at fanzones in Brighton, London, Manchester, Glasgow & Birmingham, plus at FIFA Fan zones on the West Coast of USA (LA, San Francisco), BOXPARK and other fan parks across the country. We also arranged live performances at 4TheFans events for PG Ciarletta and Joseph J. Jones.

Shoot also secured stadium plays in the USA, including at England’s warm-up friendlies in Tampa & Orlando, plus at Toronto Stadium ahead of Germany v Ivory Coast and Dallas and Boston Stadium for the Three Lions games against Croatia and Ghana respectively.

It has been an incredible month of football, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the tournament unfold. A huge thank you to everyone we worked and collaborated with throughout the World Cup to make these phenomenal opportunities happen.

Roll on 2030!
